PAPERLESS STATEMENTS AND ACCOUNT NOTICES DISCLOSURE AND AGREEMENT
Introduction
Pursuant to the federal Electronic Signatures in Global and National Commerce (ESIGN) Act, we must obtain your consent prior to delivering legal disclosures to you in an electronic format. To enroll in paperless statements (eStatements), account notices (eNotices) and paperless annual tax statements, your consent is required.
If you consent to eStatements and eNotices, you will no longer receive paper Periodic Account Statements (Statements), Tax Statements and Account Notices by mail but will receive them electronically. Statement disclosures will also be delivered electronically with the eStatement. The Report Card and statement disclosures will be delivered electronically with the eStatement.
If you consent to paperless credit card statements (Credit Card eStatements), you will no longer receive paper credit card statements by mail but will receive credit card statements electronically.
Consent to electronic disclosures: You hereby consent to receive above listed disclosures in electronic format.
eStatements
Your consent to receive eStatements applies to statements, including Consumer Loan, Home Equity Loan and Home Equity Line of Credit (HELOC) statements.
If your statement is currently mailed with other family members' statements, you are canceling paper statements only for the account which you are currently logged in to. Your family members will continue to receive paper statements by regular mail, unless they log in to Online Banking and consent to receive eStatements.
You may also request copies of paid checks by calling us at (800) 462-8328, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Consult our current Statement of Fees and Disclosures & Agreement of Terms and Conditions for additional information.
We will send you an email message to notify you when your eStatement is available. You can then log in to Online or Mobile Banking to view and print your eStatement. eStatements remain available online for up to seven years. You may request paper copies of statements by calling us at (800) 462-8328, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
Inserts of a promotional nature typically included with statement mailings, such as information on upcoming car sales, special loan or savings rates, and promotional share certificates, will not be mailed. Information on these promotions is available on our website at schoolsfirstfcu.org.
Tax Statements
If you consent to eStatements and eNotices, you will no longer receive paper tax statements by mail but will receive the documents electronically. Tax documents include, but are not limited to, 1042-S, 1098, 1098-E, 1099-A, 1099-C, 1099-INT, 1099-MISC, 1099-NEC, 1099-Q, 1099-R, 5498 and 5498-ESA.
We will send you an email message to notify you when your tax documents are available. You can then log in to Online or Mobile Banking to view and download or print your tax statements. Tax statements remain available online for up to seven years. You may request paper copies of tax statements by calling us at (800) 462-8328, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m.
eNotices
If you consent to eStatements and eNotices, you will no longer receive some notices by mail but will receive them electronically. Notices include, but are not limited to, the annual privacy notice, Loan and Security Agreements Updates, non-sufficient funds (NSF), courtesy pay, certificate maturity, late payment, and other important legal notices.
We will send you an email message to notify you when an eNotice is available. You may then log in to Online or Mobile Banking to view and download or print your eNotice by clicking View All Messages in the Message Center. eNotices remain available in Online and Mobile Banking for 60 days, unless you delete the notice.
Credit Card eStatements
If you consent to Credit Card eStatements, you will no longer receive paper credit card statements by mail but will receive credit card statements electronically. Notices typically included in paper credit card statement mailings, such as changes in terms and other legal notices, will be emailed to you.
We will send you an email message to notify you when your Credit Card eStatement is available. You can then log in to Online or Mobile Banking to view and download or print your Credit Card eStatement. Credit Card eStatements remain available online for up to six months. You may request paper copies of statements by calling us at (800) 462-8328, Monday – Friday, 7 a.m. – 7 p.m., and Saturday, 9 a.m. – 3 p.m. Consult our current Statement of Fees and Disclosures & Agreement of Terms and Conditions for additional information.
Requirements
To receive disclosures electronically, you must use a device that meets minimum hardware and software requirements, as well as browser and other requirements. Please visit our Online Banking System Requirements page for a full list of requirements.
- Sufficient free disk space on a hard drive to retain documents.
- A modem or other device allowing connection to the internet.
- An internet web browser that can support the service.
- An established email account and email address, and the ability to access attachments in email.
- An up-to-date version of Adobe® Acrobat® Reader® or an Adobe Acrobat Reader browser plug-in.
- If you do not have this software, you can download a free, up-to-date version at adobe.com.
- Modification of browser security for items, such as cookies, may be required.
You must also provide an email address. If you use a work email address, keep in mind that some employers block receipt of personal emails. To ensure proper delivery of your important account information, please add info@schoolsfirstfcu.org to your contacts, personal address book and Safe Senders List.
Withdrawing Consent
You may withdraw consent for eStatements, eNotices, Credit Card eStatements and tax statements at any time under Settings & Profile in Online Banking. If you cancel eStatements and eNotices after 6 p.m. on the last day of the month, the change to paper statements by mail will not take effect until the following month. If you cancel Credit Card eStatements after 6 p.m. on your statement closing date, the change to paper statements by mail will not take effect until the following statement closing date.
